A. Reading & Listening

“¿Puedo mostrarte lo que escribí?”
“Claro, muéstrame”.
“Hay muchos errores”.
“Inténtalo de nuevo”.
“¿Está mejor?”
“Can I show you what I wrote?”
“Sure, show me.”
“There’s a lot of mistakes.”
“Try again.”
“Is it better?”

B. Active Listening & Writing

Write the Spanish version with help of the clues and audio.

Translate:"Your pronunciation is quite good."

  • "Tu pronunciación es bastante buena".

Even students with a good ear should be careful with the difference of the phonemes "s" "z" "ce" "ci". Everyone reading this track should spend at least 10 minutes for their teacher to practice the words. List of words: gracias - cero - zapato - sociedad - cerezo - casa - caza, etc...

Translate:"Can you write down your responses?"

  • "¿Puedes escribir tus respuestas?"

to write, to write down = "escribir"
ESCRIBIR: Yo escribo, tú escribes, él/ella/usted escribe, nosotros/as escribimos, vosotros/as escribís, ellos/as/ustedes escriben. (Presente Ind)

Translate:Walter writes in his notebook.

  • Walter escribe en su cuaderno.

my notebook = "mi cuaderno" your notebook = "tu cuaderno" his/her notebook = "___ cuaderno"
Note that "his notebook" and "her notebook" both translate as "SU cuaderno" in Spanish. Pronombres Posesivos: Mi, tu, su, nuestro/a, vuestro/a, sus.

Translate:"Oops! I made a mistake."

  • "¡Maldita sea! Hice un error".

"Maldita sea," "Qué mal," "Vaya," are common ways to express a slight disappointment in Spanish. They're colloquial but not rude.

to show = "mostrar"
Show us = "muéstranos" show me = "muéstrame"
